U-shaped channels look simple, but in practice every customer needs something slightly different.

Some manufacturers run 0.4 mm drywall studs and need very high production speed.
Others produce 6.0 mm heavy-duty storage rack rails, where the material is thick and hard to form.
There are also customers making rolling door tracks, which require punching holes and corner cuts directly in the forming line.

That's why standard roll forming machines rarely work well for these applications.

Some people think more stations means better quality, but that's not always true.

For simple U-channels, 12–16 stations are usually enough.
More complex sections may require additional stations depending on the bending geometry.

Custom machines can handle up to 6.0 mm, depending on the profile design.

Can Punching Be Integrated Into the Line?

Yes.

Common configurations include:

  • inline punching before forming

  • punching during forming

  • hydraulic punching station

However, hole position must be considered carefully.

If holes are too close to bending lines, deformation may occur during forming.

Delivery Time

Typical manufacturing lead time is 30–45 days.
